Bridgefestival 2012 is arranged with start on Friday week 30 and ends on Sunday week 31, dates spanning from 27/7 to 5/8.

The biggest news for this year is that we signed a new contract with Örebro as arranger for future festivals until atleast 2017.

Our swedish Bridgefestival is one of the largest bridgearrangements and it's also one of Swedens largest annually recurrent arrangements. We are growing for each year and nothing indicates it will change in the coming years. We're allways interested in your oppinions on the festival and suggestions on how to improve it.

We try to listen to our bridgevisitors thoughts and ideas and if it's possible improve us after their wishes. This year we're gonna tweak the changes done allready in 2011 to make them even better.

For example: longer swiss-qualification in Goldmine, closer co-operation with our sponsors and better promotion of our discounted "Festivalklippet" to mention some things. It's also decided that this year won't have a bridgeparty as usual, it will be back soon again tho, since we have 2 big upcoming anniversaries.

As mentioned above, we are tweaking the parameters for Goldmine, but the basics are the same; a swiss-qualification during day 1, then the field divides into groups according to the swissresults. All groups has goldstatus and competes for money.

The bridgefestival is filled with tournaments, varying from 24 board bronzetournaments up to Chairman's Cup that spans over a total of 6 days, depending on how far you advance. Mix it with some silverstatus tournaments over 42 boards, national finals in several classes and the goldfilled Goldmine tournament at the end of the festival and you have a experience most bridgeplayers would enjoy. If you buy this, for 300SEK, you're granted free play in every tournament the last 3 days. You choose yourself which ones you wanna play, whether it be a bronze, silver or the goldmine tournament. You may not use it as payment in the national finals. Besides playing for free, each "Festivalklippet"-card works as a ticket in a lottery with daily prices from our sponsors wheter you play or not.
